Job Title: Production Supervisor Location: Navajo Mine
Reports to: Area Manager Department: Production
Job Summary: Responsible for the direct management and supervision of a crew of employees to uncover, remove and deliver coal to the customer of Navajo Mine, as well as reclamation of land after the mining operation has concluded its work according to the needs of the mine. This includes accountability for the coordination of the flow of work performed by the assigned crew as well as adherence to safety guidelines and company policies and procedures. Strong leadership and decision-making skills are necessary to meet goals established for this position.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to regularly sit with frequent forward bending and rotation. The employee must frequently lift, carry and/or move up to 40 pounds; rarely to horizontally lift up to 40 pounds; and rarely lift, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds or swing up to 15 pounds. The employee is required to rarely push or pull up to 100 pounds of force. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms; occasionally use a right-hand grip up to 30 pounds of force; and rarely use hand at an elevated level. The employee is rarely required to continuously stand with forward bending or frequent rotation; kneel; or frequently walk; climb stairs; crouch; or crawl. The employee is rarely required to squat repetitively or reach up to 74 inches above the ground. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment: Works in office environment and site environment on rotating shifts with variable hours. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Some work may be outdoors in all weather conditions, working in plant environment and working in shop environment.
