Job Description:
- Crafting and presenting detailed proposals to meet the specific product, logistics and infrastructure needs of NTEC’s customers in international and domestic commodity markets.
- Responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) for technical sales agreements, logistics services, commodity transportation equipment and infrastructure.
- Collaborating with sales and commodity operations engineering teams to understand and meet customer specifications and deliver complex commodity solutions for NTEC customers and business partners.
- Managing technical customer sales and vendor contracts end-to-end, ensuring adherence to all requirements for product quality and technical specifications, regulatory compliance, transportation, and delivery.
- Conducting site visits to prospective and current customers to discuss commodity offerings, evaluate infrastructure compatibility, promote logistics efficiencies, and to resolve questions and concerns for any after sales customer needs.
- Consulting with customer, transportation, and logistics business partner engineers, on site, to coordinate necessary equipment and infrastructure configurations for safe and efficient commodity handling.
- Advising on and promoting the adoption of improved handling materials and machinery that enhance operational efficiencies.
- Investigating and developing new customer relationships in both established and emerging markets to expand NTEC’s commodity sales opportunities and distribution networks.
- Representing NTEC at trade shows, seminars, and industry events to promote technical sales and gathering insights on industry developments.
- Providing both technical and general support to customers, to ensure customer product and service success in commodity logistics, commodity handling equipment and infrastructure solutions design.
- Manage chemical treatment processes at the mine, including oversight of application systems, product selection, and vendor contracts to ensure effective, cost-efficient coal treatment solutions.
- Manage end-to-end export logistics from the mine to the port, including coordination of rail transport, mine dispatch, and vessel scheduling between the customer and the loading port.
Position supervises one Contract Administrator. Telecommuting permitted two days per week. Reports to office in Broomfield, Colorado.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of managing coal logistics under Free on Board (FOB) and Cost and Freight (CFR) terms, including full export coordination from mine loadout to delivery at destination ports.
- Knowledge of negotiating and executing bulk vessel shipping agreements, including voyage charters and long-term shipping contracts (contracts of affreightment), with responsibility for vessel loading timelines and penalty terms.
- Knowledge of negotiating domestic industrial coal contracts, including pricing structures, volume commitments, delivery terms, and coordination with transportation and end users.
- Knowledge of coordinating domestic coal shipments, including movement by rail and truck, integration with terminal operations, and ensuring continuity from mine to end user or port.
- Knowledge of rail logistics and handling unit train operations, including car cycle planning, scheduling, and coordination with rail service providers.
- Knowledge of terminal handling and transloading operations, including planning and managing coal transfers at both origin and destination terminals.
- Knowledge of technical sales proposal development and responding to customer RFQs.
Work Location: 385 Interlocken Crescent, Suite 400, Broomfield, CO 80021, Telecommuting permitted two days per week.
Hours of work: Usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
Travel: 20% U.S. and international travel required.
